Memberships with TONL are anniversary based and renewed annually, becoming active on the date of dues payment, expiring one year later. If you pay your dues early, your membership will expire one year from your current expiration date. 

Primary Full Member: $150

Full Members of TONL shall consist of Registered Nurse (RN) leaders or aspiring leaders. This includes those RN’s who hold or aspire to hold an organizational role of administration or management who are accountable for strategic, operational and/or performance outcomes in sites where health care is delivered; faculty in graduate and undergraduate nursing programs, including deans and directors; directors of district chapters; consultants in nursing administration/management practice; persons working in professional associations, regulatory agencies and/or accrediting health care organizations; and editors of professional journals. Full Member shall have the right to hold any elected position; vote on organizational issues and elect a slate of candidates for service on the Board of Directors. Full Members shall have the right to vote on amendments to the TONL Bylaws and on any increase in the dues proposed by the Board of Directors.

Additional Full Member: $125

This membership type is for additional full members where the CNO or equivalent at your facility, is already a TONL member.

Nursing administrators, nurse executives, chief of nursing officers or the highest level management position in nursing services in a healthcare organization and/or healthcare regulatory agency. Nurse managers & directors holding line management responsibility, to include, but not limited to, patient care management, human resources management as well as fiscal & material resource management. An Additional Full Member may vote and hold office.

Student: $125

Student Members of the TONL shall be full-time U.S. Nursing Students in Associate Degree, Diploma, Baccalaureate, generic Masters and generic Doctoral programs preparing students for Registered Nurse licensure. They may attend TONL business and educational meetings but will not be considered Full Members, not permitted to vote in meetings of, hold office in, or vote for directors or Officers of TONL.

Graduate Student Member: $0

Graduate Student Members of TONL must be enrolled in a Graduate Level Nursing Executive Leadership Program or Nurse Administration Program, full or part time. Graduate Student Members of TONL will have the same member benefits of Full Members of TONL. Graduate Student Members shall have the right to hold any elected position; vote on organizational issues and elect a slate of candidates for service on the Board of Directors. Graduate Student Members shall have the right to vote on amendments to the TONL Bylaws and on any increase in the dues proposed by the Board of Directors. Proof of Enrollment must be submitted when joining. Proof of enrollment can include the current semester’s course schedule or any documentation from the program which shows enrollment and degree plan.

Previously enrolled graduate student members still receive the 2nd and 3rd Year of Membership – 50% of the Full Membership Fee

Affiliate Membership: $255

Affiliate Members of TONL shall be individuals who are not Registered Nurses but who support the mission and vision of TONL. An Affiliate Member may not hold office.

Retired Membership: $120

Retired Members of TONL are any Full TONL Member who is retired from the profession and has maintained TONL membership for a period of five consecutive years prior to their application. Shall be entitled to all rights and privileges of a Full Member with the exception of holding office at the national level.
